With the fifth generation today, the Company’s succession is now represented by Jean-Roch Sauer since 1975 and by Eric Sauer since 1987. Innovation, research and development are combined with tradition and all know-hows.
This top of the range Kolinsky Sable brush from Raphael is also known as ‘the botanical brush’ because it is the brush of choice for most serious botanical artists. This is because it has the most incredible point that allows the artist to paint in intricate detail.
The Raphael Sable brushes are made from the highest quality Kolinsky sable hairs and provide exceptional colour uptake. The fine, flexible tips allow for easy, precise, and perfect application.
The brushes in the 8404 series have a broad belly capable of holding a large amount of water. The tip comes to a fine point, ideal for very fine details, lines and washes.
